3 Piece Suits

3 piece suits have all the options of a 2 piece suit with the addition of a waistcoat.

Waistcoats come in a variety of styles, with the most popular style being the single-breasted, with button five show six, four welt pockets and back straps.

There is also a double breasted waistcoat. This is often worn with a morning suit and is normally button three show three with two lower welt pockets, double-breasted lapels and back straps.

Another style is the Postboy waistcoat. This is mostly worn with tweed suits and has a waist seam. It is cut about 1 ¾” longer with two top welt pockets and two lower pockets with flaps in the waist seam and with or without lapels.
